Evie the Baby

The Song Request Raffle Challenge: "I have a very small friend named Evie. She is eight months old and would greatly appreciate a children's song with her name in it." YOUR REQUEST HAS BEEN GRANTED!
Jessamyn seems to have this innate talent for creating simple melodic earworms, so I brought her along. She took one look at the parameters, and the first thing she sang... instant earworm. The next few days were spent making up verse after silly verse to try to chase the earworm away. (Sometimes we started singing macabre verses, but Jessamyn is wise enough to advise that people may get spooked out if Strangers From The Internet write macabre songs about their baby. Even if it is Hallowe'en and it's a catchy melody.)
Finally, the earworm faded, and a few weeks later we were able to revisit it. We completed it in a couple of takes one afternoon, and then we spent a couple of days mining the innarnet for fun sound effects.
I hope Evie and Evie's friend like it, and that we have created an earworm to last all of them a good long time.

My friend literally JUST had a baby and named her Edie, so when I visited the one-day-old as the hospital today I was singing her the slightly-variant "Baby Edie." I think she approved because she burped for me. :)
