They Might Be Giants

Here is my take on TMBG for the Metafilter Flood Album! More novelty than novelty, that's my motto (apparently). This is not at all what I had in mind for this somehow.

I would describe the genre of this as...oddball. It was fun to make. I took a few liberties with the lyrics - adding some asides. This was made by playing keyboard, singing, and distorting my singing - then smooshed together in Garageband. I'm very interested to hear any comments... Thanks!

Otherworldly and oddly menacing! Like a tiny sentient snowman intent on taking over the world indeed! And the door is further unsettling -- as though something has forced its way into my home to deliver a strange and cryptic warning before leaving as quickly as it came.

I get a confused dream-like nervousness listening to this. Which is to say: very well done!

I love this. The door is a brilliant touch. I could hear it--and I mean this as a big compliment--played by Princess Bubblegum on BMO with Marceline singing.

Wow! Really nice.
The door is fantastic and I concur with umbĂș on the Adventureland take, it has that exact same vibe.
Cozy and friendly but slightly off. Nice work.

I will happily accept any comparisons to Adventure Time!
I'm also kind of delighted with a "dream-like nervousness" and "a strange and cryptic warning".
Thank you for the comments!
