track 9

May 12, 2015 10:56 PM

It's late and I can't sleep, so I made a quick, self-indulgent, sloppy little thing.

come back
to the over and over,
the older and older

please come back
to the rain on my windows,
the all "I don't know"s

'cause it's easy—
or maybe it's not—
but tell me over and over
all I've forgot

the same chords,
over and over,
looking over your shoulder

i'm only good at beginnings,
the losings-not-winnings

the over and over,
over your shoulder

Wow, nice work. Great bounce and sweetness, but both the structure and the lyrics really give a sense of getting held back by loops of doubt. Clean and spontaneous production ... I especially enjoy the voice doubling in the chorus, and the tasteful restraint in the solo.

Ooh, this is great! I love this. Your voice is killing this one, can really feel the rain on the window, if that makes sense. Nice to see you posting again, I hope this signals more tracks!
