All Right Here

A thinly veiled apology to a woman I hurt 15 years ago.

I was wandering around my flat in Clapham the other month and got the line "Walking Down Battersea Rise" in my head. Decided to make a song out of it.

It started as an homage to the area, the junction, the windmill, the high street....and quickly turned in to a time in my life i'm not proud of. A song of growth, and apology.

You have a nice voice and excellent sense of what order things go well in a progression of chords. This sounds like an airy-sounding and updated callback to the breezier stuff of the 1970's "yacht rock" ilk. (I say that in a good way.) Thanks for recording it!

Really like the popping bubbles of the keys in the intro, great pop production all the way through. You always bring such a nice forward drive, at any tempo.

Lyrics, arrangement, playing, singing, groove, mix ... all spot-on. Very full and well-realized.
