Normal Now
July 14, 2016 5:01 PM
From an album I made in the 29 days of February, 2016.
I thought a great title for the album was Lemonade, taken from a lyric of one of the songs. Then Beyonce's album came out 2 months later and went absolutely nuclear so that sort of seems like a not great choice in retrospect.
I'm thinking of calling my next album "Abbey Road."

Bouncy tasty confection. Your harmonies are light and fluffy and curly, the picking and steel string tone are popping like soda bubbles in the nose, and the organ interlude is smooth, rich and creamy. I think I'm lightly terrified by the lyrics I'm catching, but that's OK, it's all alright. I'll just keep tapping my toe, I'm sure it'll be alright.
Excellent as usual, chococat.

Lovely harmonies. Could you post the lyrics? I like what I was able to catch a lot, especially the eponymous verse. Delicious moog part.
That Lemonade issue is hilarious and poignant.

Thanks, Corduroy.
lyrics:
concrete floor
by the service door
small containers are in rows
you're the only one who knows what they are for
so cold for spring
barely wearing anything
all your stuff is in the cab
on the highway you will grab some lunch to go
all the time you've been away
all the empty things they say
and the only thing you've ever wanted
was to make them pay
for every year they treated you this way
hellos are brief
you can see their relief
that they've come through all the worst
hoping you'll repress your thirst for all things strange
they all say how
you're so normal now
and they light up at your name
but you know you're just the same you as before
all the time you've been away
all the empty things they say
and the only thing you've ever wanted
was to make them pay
for every year they treated you this way

Your songwriting is a national treasure and the nation, beyond Canada, is the world.

That's really nice of you to say, edlundart, thanks. I'm good with just a few cool people on the Internet liking it.

My suggestion: call that next album "No, YOU put a ring on it".
