Recent Songfight battle; a lipogram: the lyrics can't contain any letter "A."
I was eliminated.

At first I was all "people don't get eliminated on Songfight!" so I looked it up and, well, I'm out of the loop. You made it to the next to last round, though! That's awesome. Your stuff is always top-notch.

Hey thanks a bunch, grumpybear69. Yeah, this was for the Nur Ein, which is an 8 week, song-a-week sidefight on Songfight.
It turns out I didn't get eliminated this round after all, because the other finalist couldn't do the last round, so (much to my chagrin because I was so relieved to be out of it and have my weekends back) they put the 4 semi-finalists back into the final. But I knew the ending was already pretty much written so I hammered out a really quick fuck the USA punk rock song and lost! Again! Which I was totally cool with because [brag] I won last year, with a song featuring the awesome greenish.

The arrangement is so pretty that I honestly am having a hard time pinpointing just one specific thing I like. The harmonies in the singing; the melodica, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, what is the other stringed instrument with the chords that closes out the song? It's unexpected and lovely. Sounds like something between a harpsichord and an autoharp.
