Chance.

Partly inspired by this painting by Paul Nash (the title of which I misquote in the lyric - embarrassingly): https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Nash,_Paul_-_We_are_Making_a_New_World_-_Google_Art_Project.jpg#/media/File:Nash,_Paul_-_We_are_Making_a_New_World_-_Google_Art_Project.jpg

I like the way it evokes NW Africa in general, Thus Spake Zarathustra, and King Crimson/Yes (particularly the backward piano from "Long Distance Runaround"), all at the same time. And your voice is rich. And despite these influences it remains spare—the choices you made for where to put what were well-thought-out. Good'n!

Close but no cigar - the intro is a sample of “Roundabout” not “Long Distance Runaround”, both from the Fragile album. Thanks very much for taking the time to listen and comment - appreciated.

Ha, that totally struck me in the middle of the night after I wrote that comment. I was asleep and then woke and was like, "DAMN I meant 'Roundabout'!" — I get song names and stuff confused. Anyway, good job. It's the first time I actually recognized the sound from Roundabout as a backward piano; and well-used in your example. I like reusing sounds in my stuff.
