Basically, I wrote a tool to graph this into midi. Fun fact: It does not actually slow down.

Thank you! I was tempted to slow it down, but I thought it felt like it did, which was more interesting.

TIL you can do MIDI in Nodejs!?
Did you stumble on that curve and say "I wonder what that would sound like" or did you design the curve to sound the way you wanted?

I had it, and I wondered what it would sound like.
I actually used a variant of that curve in an older piece, but in that case, it's used to control the tempo over the course of an hour, so I was curious about what it'd be like mapped across the pitch domain.
