Our Economy

A little generative ditty with sound samples from a speech by Gov. Frances Sargeant announcing a freeze on freeway construction in Massachusetts.

An excerpt of this speech was in the first ep of the Big Dig podcast that WBGH is putting out. It’s a fantastic bit of audio and I wanted to write an optimistic but foreboding song around it.

The spatial voice placement here is really impressive. I listened on a laptop and felt like there was an additional disembodied speaker to my right. That illusion locks in the foreboding!
