How To Fight Loneliness

Cover of a gorgeous Wilco song. This is an extremely spartan interpretation. You may need to turn your volume up.

Ambient noise all over the place—I recorded this in two takes, voice & guitar into a single mic for each, while the kitchen window was open. Floor creaks, chair creaks, traffic going by, and my wife walking in. The Portland Streetcar pulls away from the 10th & Clay stop at the end.

Beautiful. I like Wilco, but am not familiar with this song. Your version is great.

They released this on Summerteeth, and that's a very good recording, but I first heard it when they were doodling with it in in the documentary—bluesier and more visceral in that take, and absolutely gorgeous guitar lead to boot, and I fell in love with it immediately.

I like this a lot. Sure would be nice to have the volume normalized, though...

Yeah, yeah. I've been doing some serious archival work on my recordings this weekend, and I tripped across it and decided to post it. I'M ONLY HUMAN! *weeps*

Don't weep for your humanity, cortex, you'll turn into a bureaucrat.

I like this track a lot.
