A subdued synthetic rock/instrumental track by me. If you like Sigur Ros, you might like this.

Thanks guys. Considering how much I appreciate both of your music, this means a lot.

Ahhhh. Lost a bunch of my old music files, and came back to get my old mefi faves. This was on the top of the list. Makes my bones melt into a puddle of happy.

Please pardon the comparison, but this reminds me of the best instrumental moments of Peter Gabriel's last album, "US", which is one of my favourite recordings. There is a bassy, breathy and relaxed quality in common, and great synthetic sound gestures. Just lovely. I can hear PG singing over this.
I'd love to hear this without the "drum" track that is there. That is the only thing that distracts me from the music. I AM hearing the busy strings underneath. Maybe just a "shaker" or something very, very minimal in terms of percussion: a treble beat. The pulse of the piece is obvious. I like the sound of the "ride" cymbal at the very end and I would be happy with that throughout. I just find the drums too obvious and unneccessary. Just my 2ยข and worth about as much.
Thanks for this. Beautifully done.
