A short song about a lazy morning made today in a state of undress for the music challenge.

More MeFi hip-hop! "Entrance Exam" is a rap song I wrote about growing up in the Philippines and eventually ending up in Seattle. I'd decided on a more aggressive/defiant tone from my usual stuff and I'm pretty happy with the result.

My roommate found a piece of paper on the ground and gave it to me. It had this song (poem?) written on it. I put it to music. (Lyrics slightly NSFW towards the end)

MeFi Music could use a little more rap, don't you think? Here's a song from our
second album dealing with friends of a new significant other running interference on your blossoming relationship. (I perform the first and third verse.) Lyrics within.

A song for Franky, his wife who shops at Whole Foods, and their kids who live on YouTube. Above that, a song for George himself. I wrote this back behind enemy lines. The beat was made upon my return and it was recorded the next day.

As per request, this is the track that immediately follows
Au Courant. The speaking is samples from a beat poem by Burroughs and the rhymes are mine. This is one of those songs that you toy with for months before you're happy with it. I am also struggling with the levels so any assistance would be much appreciated! (work-in-progress)

Experimental electroclassical hip-hop track. First one to name the classical piece I lifted for my main brass sample gets a lollipop. (Hint, I play it in entirety in incredibly high-pitched, fast motion near the end of the track).

I stare at you across the lecture hall in Psychology class. Your long, white cord and your smooth rectangular body.
If I had to narrow this track down to a particular genre I would have to go with "electro orchestral folk-hop." This beat is a impassioned symphony expressing the desire for
iNtimacy in today's society.
