Waiting Song

March 30, 2007 4:50 PM

Sometime after midnight a few years ago, while waiting for a friend to finish writing lyrics to another song we were recording, I got bored and improvised this little two-guitar thing. There are about 8 seconds of silence at the beginning, due to my all-around ineptitude with the recording gear, I guess.

I really like this. Relaxed feel, some nicely understated string bending, good flow. It's got a soundtrack-y vibe to it: a desert scene, little shack by the highway, girl steps out from behind the screen door, squints in the sunlight, sees car coming from a mile away... something like that.

I bet you'd like this record, if you don't already know it.

I'm with f@m with the soundtrack thing, and that's cool. Whatever it was you were sayin' it was pretty eloquently put. Nice.
