Man, I always look forward to your posts. Everytime is fresh and original. This is a beautiful song. I only have one request-can you post the lyrics? Sorry, I had to ask!

Hey, thx a lot, both of you.

The lyrics say:

Bendita Caracas deslumbras
com um brilho que eu pensei tão certo
bom, mau, melhor, seu efeito
feitiço, feito só, nem feito
é uma miragem mesmo
sempre ao longe parecendo perto

Bendita Caracas, confundes
sem amanha, nem ontem, nem inverno
lembro que alguem ja disse
arar no mar é tolice
falando em seu governo
e seu eterno ar moderno

Which roughly means, in English:

Blessed Caracas, you dazzle
with a shining that I took to be so true
Good or bad, that effect of yours
spell, make-believe, unreal
is but a mirage to me
forever distant, appearing near

Blessed Caracas, you bewilder
without a tomorrow, a yesterday or a winter
I remember someone said
'plowing in the sea is just insane'
his words to describe your ways
and that perennial modern air of theirs.

Thx for the kind words. You always look forward to my posts? what a coincidence, I always look forward for your comments.

Great rambling rhythm.

This may sound crazy, but this reminds me of some of the slower songs on Beck's Mellow Gold (which I love). Jangly guitars, moody singing... except Beck doesn't sign much in Portuguese.

I love the way the drums sound like they're a mile away. And possibly inside a fish tank.

Thx. I did that because the actual drum track is a horrible preprogrammed drum pattern that came with the portastudio. I never really liked it and in the end I decided to hide it with all those effects.

And here you can watch an ultra-low budget (but charming) video of the song.
