The Imlovence (of My Heart)

July 18, 2007 9:00 PM

I had promised Sarah I would write her a song. Granted, that was while we were dating. We're not anymore. But I did promise, and she is a superly awesome person, wholly deserving of a song. The chorus comes from a facecloth we found in a dollar store, and it's words, three of which being nonexistent, can be found within the bowels of this music post.

The chorus, found printed on a facecloth in a dollar store, is:

I twver wint to lose
the imlovence of my heart,
good friend.

If you're trying to kill me by keeping me up past my bed time, it's working! Holy shit. For now I must bid you Good Night, and a better comment tomorrow!!!! Peter Lorre? Yea, he wins!

I think you're right. Peter Lorre's forehead could defeat most any foe.

This song is really fuhlly. I love the way you treated the corux, the delivery sort of musically announces the lucrisiciousness of the facecloth words.

I was sure had posted a comment yesterday, when I first heard the song, but I guess I didn't.

Really nice song. What mic do you use when you record? I kinda feel it doesn't does justice to your voice, and with another mic your songs would be perfect. But perhaps I'm just imagining things. Great song, in any case. What did Sarah say?

The mic? Well ... it's a crappy little $5 computer mic. I have access to a whole slew of better ones down at my band's practice space, but, sometimes, going there to write a song puts too much pressure on me. Somehow it's easier just to slap something together at home.

It's not very euphonious.
