I have the whole ranch crew doing the vocs on this. My kids don't think it's scary enough.

The whole ranch crew! Love it! And I'm scared right outta my wits!

Oooh, atmosphere! Nice!

Those high chimey sounds -- is that the Korg, or something else?

Thanks flapjax and Karlos! Yea, it's all Korg except for the vocs. I'm finally learning how to tweak the instruments and sequence. It's a lot of fun.

My 10 yr. old daughter says it is "good but kind of creepy" and
"I promise I won't play this song for my 6 yr. old son" who would loose sleep over this song. Nice work!

It has been suggested that this song be broadcast about the neighborhood during Halloween.

Thanks haunted. I'm playing this and some others in my "halloween" playlist for trick or treaters. I'd be thrilled if you played this for yours!

haunted by Leonard Cohen: Your 10 yr. old daughter has a 6 yr. old son? Now that's creepy! ; )

Broadcasting the song around the neighborhood is a cool idea!

snsranch: What kind of Korg is it? I made a nice Halloween thing for broadcasting around a couple years ago using a Korg Z1. It has some girl screaming bloody horror way in the background in a couple places. But it's about 30min long so I can't upload it.

I like the fact that you made the background so misty and reverby, and you kept the crew's voices completely dry. It really gives it a feeling like the listener has your family huddled around them in a big spooky environment.

Kids these days. There's just no way of scaring them, is it? I think I would have been terrified had you played me this when I was a kid.

You've made it to every challenge, haven't you? I've been meaning to, but I haven't had time lately.

Good post, man.

This is fantastic, snsranch. Thanks to you and the ranch kids for doing it.

strangeguitars, it's a Triton Le. I'm nowhere close to to really using it's potential but it's very fun to learn on. We actually did a few "scream" takes, but they just didn't fit right.

micayetoca, you know man, I actually missed "bridge" which really had the most promise. The idea inspired by that is gonna have to be a long term project.

Thanks sleepy pete and everyone, I'm glad you liked it!

Very cool. I've been so busy at work that I've been out of the Mefi Music scene for a while but this is a nice way to return!
