Bass Overdriven to Scary

October 16, 2007 3:41 PM

Figured a bass overdriven would be spooky enough.

Actually, the proper combination for spooky is reverb and gain. Makes the spine tingle.

The proper combination for spooky is reverb and pain.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Good post. Where were you at the time of the last BASSFIGHT?

Where were you at the time of the last BASSFIGHT?

Mica, this guy's brand new, it's his very first post to MeFi. So... maybe time for a new round of bassfights?

Oh, and aleb, aside from distortion and verb, you got some wah wah going on in there too, no?

This is great.

For some reason I imagine that the percussion is being played by the skeleton warriors from Jason and the Argonauts.

My favorite moment is at 1:30 when the BASS comes CRASHING back in after the little honkfest.

ARGH. I'm downloading several songs at once; that last comment was for a different song ENTIRELY. Hang on.

Okay, let's see. This is pretty cool, too! Are you overdubbing stuff, or are the effects all live, or what?

I like how even as the top layer gets more greechy there's still a layer underneath that anchors it all down.

I want there to be a video to this where the whole video is a flaming car driving off a cliff during a midnight storm, in super-slow motion.

Right on! This is going right on my Halloween "scare the trick or treaters" soundtrack!

RE; bassfight, there should be another coming in a few months.

Welcome aboard aleb.
