The Gloaming (Radiohead cover)

February 13, 2008 12:24 PM

My friend Mel and I have started a musical project together, and since Radiohead is our biggest mutual influence, we decided to start by covering one of their songs.

Mel's on lead vocals; I do harmony. Hohner-Gruhn acoustic guitar, Fender American Standard Telecaster, Casio keyboard, Audio Technica microphone, Line6 TonePort UXII recording interface, and GarageBand. You can keep up with us at myspace.com/adalband.

This is great, thanks for posting it. I haven't been here too long, but there are definitely not enough female singers (and especially female harmonies!). I look forward to what else you guys put together.

For a while I did a my-voice-and-guitar version of this song. I was invariably surprised at how well it worked given the blippy nature of the original.

's all in the voice, I suspect.

PS: This is good. My only complaint would be that it is impossible to do the Twitchy Thom dance during the wordless parts (manifestly not true of the original/live version!).

NB: That's not really a complaint.
