We Almost Lost Detroit

A living room rendition.

We used to play this for friends, and at parties. It's originally by Gill Scott-Heron. This version was recorded by the vocalist of the band, then I added the percussion track (and the explosions!). Not much more to say, just that it's a song that I really like, and I think it sounds great in his voice.

Hey, that's a sweet number man. I dig his voice too, very soulful without over doing it. Your explosions remind me of Lee Perry. Damn cool stuff right here! Thanks for posting it.

The percussion and voice are great! I'm not sure if I like the actual song or not, probably would have preferred a different one, but not a big deal. The explosions, though, are definitely sweet.
