Hooray for a new bgm track. I love how the bass track at 1:03 or so just thickens so much. Thanks for making music.

Man I was about to say something right along the lines of maniactown's comment above. The bass is hawtt, as they kids say (or type). A new chococat song is always occasion for applause.

The iPhone song!
Very nice slide solo. And I've been meaning to do a little Sicilian guitar like that (the one that comes in after the solo) but I never come up with the proper song for it (I should start practicing it, though, I bet it takes some resilience.
And as the others said, I'm glad to find a new song by you. Hopefully it will be a row.

Awesome. It's the perfect mix of texture and hushed vocals.

Yeah, this is good. I can see the Iron & Wine comparison; I can also see Tom Waits doing this.
I like the way the backup vox are recorded and panned -- they're quite pretty -- and I like the super-quiet tamborine.
What's that squeak over on the right side? Is that just fretting, or something else?

wow--chococat. it's really great to hear more of this newer stuff from you. the slide guitar reminds me a little of iron & wine, too, but there are so many other things going on that keep it from being easily pigeonholed. a little bit of elvis costello even springs to mind. i'm looking forward to getting caught up on some of the other newer recordings, too (like the new take on "You're Just New," another one of my favorites from the old days--haven't had a chance to listen to that yet, but i'm about to). basically, i've missed everything new since you posted like sun. god, i only wish i had more time. thanks again.

I'll stand in line for your record (but not just because it's new).
