Our Age (Constantines cover)

November 24, 2008 11:30 AM

Its been too long since I've last posted here. I've been a big fan of the Constantines since the time the Arcade Fire were opening for them. This is a cover of a song off of their new album.

I've always loved Bry Webb's songwriting. Sometimes his amazing melodies are obscured by the sheer bluster of the band. I think some people can't get past that a lot of the time. I wanted to try a stripped down version of this haunting track. I had a lot of fun doing it. Hope you enjoy.

Oh and I guess we can say that I requested it from myself. Sheesh.

I've never listened to the Constantines, so I'm not a good judge of coverdom, but I really like this. You're voice is great on this.

This is really pretty -- you get the vibe of the Constantines [in my opinion] but with a whole new sound.
