Kait

Cover of the song "Kate" by Ben Folds.
My sister Kait likes the song, so I recorded my version of it for her as part of her present. I stayed as true to the original as I could with a single microphone.
I played all the instruments, sloppily.
drums, keys, vox, bass, bic lighter against a pint glass pitched down for a cowbell-ish sound, and a box of mac and cheese (365, yum!) for a shaker.
Single overhead mic on the drums = WAY too much high end. Tried to EQ it out, but there are some things you can't fix in the mix. (easily)
Also, I'm getting less cringe-y when I hear my own voice the more I record it, but I'm still trying to get over the apprehensive tone.
