Dark psychedelia from deep within the Karst topography of the Missouri Ozarks . . .

First MeMusic post! A cut from the recent album compiled by me and my friends' improv collective, The Current Group. Aside from the horns being looped on the outro, everything here is recorded live improv. Without pulling up the session files, the player credits are hazy (beer, coffee, wine, and . . .) but that is me on guitar drone/loops, and euphonium. My main man Joseph Kramer on trumpet and who knows what else. Jonathon James on various drone/guitars?/harmonium. Nathan Cook on vox (all effects live processed during recording!). There could be many more friends on this cut, so apologies to those I missed (eh, they're not mefites, so they'll never know.) Sometimes it just turns out sweet. Enjoy!

Very nice. Awesome that you did that crazy pre-reverb Zeppelin-y vocal thing live, it's really effective. Love the horns too. Kind of a Mark Hollis via Can thing going on.
Welcome!

Simply spectacular. What kind of effects setup was used? It's nice to see brass instruments used in a more ambient texture. I can personally vouch for how difficult that can be. Also, were the lyrics original? I'm looking forward to hearing more from your group.

This is cool, barrett, and guess what? My 9-year-old daughter perked up and asked what this was I was listening to. "I like it!" she said.

When you can reach a nine-year-old, you've made something special.
