Heroin (On My Trail)

I think if there was a true heir of delta blues in 1960s and '70s rock and roll, it was more likely Lou Reed than just about anyone else. A lot of delta blues, a little Motown, and a little modern Detroit.

Uy, well done, The World Famous. This could be on the ABC manual for covers. This is how you do it.

I really dig the driving thump in the bits where there's a bass, and of course that guitar pattern. This is neat.

I have no idea how the original goes, but I really love this bayou stompin' rendition. Somebody fry me up a possum!

I can picture you on the street corner in Jackson, pickin' and slidin', while playing on one of these. I'd toss a fiver in your hat for that, in a heartbeat.

Great! A little bit Beefheart, if I may say, especially when it leaves the rails there for a moment.

Ain't that the truth. I've only realized that myself during this challenge. Those lyrics CRY for the Delta treatment!

Good show, man, this kicks ass, especially the haunting quality of the vocals.

Wow. This is terrific. I really like the serious tremulo on the vocals.

Oops. I mean tremolo.
