Metroid

So, this is how I've spent the afternoon. Constructing a cover of what is, in my opinion, the greatest video game theme ever composed. For your enjoyment. Yes, I know it falls apart a little, in some places. But that's because it's a cappella. And it's a cappella because it would have taken much longer to make were I to have used instruments. Oh! And I'm exhausted. And it seemed like a good idea at the time. Enjoy!

HA! Awesome. That'll show 'em. The anti a capella-video-game-cover people. F those guys.

I have always loved this theme. I used to put in the cart and just let the title screen run for several minutes, the music looping.

So I simulatneously love and hate you for doing a faithful but silly cover of it. Music is tricky.

Well, that was fun, but if it sticks I might have nightmares.

It would be sweet to see a retro, 80s style anime of metroid.

A little pitchy here and there, as Randy Jackson might say. But you're still my dog.

Hah, that's incredible. I love a capella re-arrangements of almost anything. Any chance you could link us to a recording of the original?

Yeah, I know it's a little sloppy. I plan on putting together a more serious cover of it next week, with instruments. Because I'll be on vacation (huzzah!).

And, persona, you can find the original hereabouts.

And, cortex, I used to do the same thing.

I think I may have to attempt a banjo version.

Not to further embed this song in your head, cortex, but ...
do it!
