Butcher (Leonard Cohen cover)

November 9, 2009 6:15 PM

Had I my druthers, I would be in a blues duo akin to The Black Keys or The Pack A.D. But I'm not, so I have to make do with smacking my Epiphone around and putting amp simulation on my voice. If ever I find a drummer who shares my vision, we will cover this song properly.

Recorded live using GarageBand, an SM-57, and a Line6 TonePort II.

Wow I love your voice! It sounds great against your grungy guitar work. In the quiet parts your voice reminds me of Aimee Mann, which is a good thing :) I don't know this LC song, and thought I was pretty well versed in his work. All in all thanks for the tune!

So good! I love that explosive guitar. The switch between the two styles of strumming is super effective.

Whew, you are great to listen to. Leonard would like this version.
