Hark! The Herald Angels Sing (MagiMix)

December 15, 2009 1:34 PM

Picking up on media hype about a strange new star that's getting beardy-wierdies very excited, local New Wave outfit The HeBeGeeBees (Maurice, Barry and Ruben) decide the time is ripe to release their debut single. Recorded live at a packed-to-the-rafters Holiday Inn Bethlehem, the track is coupled with the riske “Herod Blew My Camel, No Really".

With legendary remix producer G-Hova at the helm, the band is currently recording its debut long-player under the working title “The Bible”. A band spokesman said “It’s like a fantasy concept album, man. I mean everyone digs fairy stories, right? And G is just so cool – we got all the backing tracks down in 6 days baby which is a fucking miracle given how much toot we get through”

That's "risque" obviously. "Riske" is probably an obscure Scandinavian philospher.

Holiday shopping would be so much more fun if I heard this over the store radios instead of basically everything else they're playing this season. Excellent cover!

As with most of your stuff, MajorDundee, it makes me love you and hate you all at the same time.

Well.......once recordings have flown the nest they have to find their own way. Some are good, some are crap, some are indifferent. Some people like them, some don't, some don't give a shit. That's out of my hands.

This is a ton of fun. And sounds great. The guitars are kick-ass.
