With respect to Shelley. I wrote this song many years ago and recorded it on garage band tonight. It has meant a few things.

Golly - I just love the raw, breathy, occasionally scratchy quality of your voice. So beautiful, such texture. I think you should record and post more! Much more!

Yes, this is great. I've been waiting to hear more of your music.
Are you still considering collaborating with other mefites? Not that I think you need to, (I think you're awesome performing acapella) I'm just referring to a previous Askme question of yours.
If you are, I suggest contacting MajorDundee. He's a great musician and really knows how to record...forgive me, I know you're not asking about this here, but I think the two of you would be great collaborators.
Also, I totally agree with ORthey, it's great to hear you again and I would love to hear more!

sns- I want to have your child....
Actually BTGoG I have a track that is hot out of the oven that, because of the lyrical slant, has to have a female lead vocal. My current "project" is doing an e.p. of poetry set to music (cue general tittering and groans). The one I've freshly baked is a piece by Thomas Hardy called "Tess's Lament". But don't let that put you off until you hear it! You might not like what I've concocted, of course, and that's fair enough. I'll only cry for a few hours and then I'll be fine...no, really, just....fine. I can send you an mp3 of it if you like - my guide vocal was recorded when I had a headcold, so it's rather nasal but it gets the melody across ok. Drop me a note if you're interested.

Did anything ever come of that "Tess's Lament" collab? I would love to hear it. Or anything else with both of you on it.
Seriously, Grace could read the tax code while the Major trod on a banjo, and I'd probably lap it up. You are both that good.
