A prog rock-esque wannbe torch song confessional thing with distorted electric guitar. And lots and lots and lots of digital delay.

This is the first song I recorded using ProTools back in 2002 as a kind of demo for my band. The guitars and keyboard parts are live, and the drums/percussion are sequenced.

Bonus points to anyone who can point out which lyric I liberated from Elton John in the chorus :)

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting that kind of voice. You have a very nice voice and sound very comfortable with it. Very nice.

ok, i admit it, it was the use of the word prog that suckered me in here. have to say that i'd like it more with real drums (got a recording of that?) but it was rather sweet and i liked the guitar and the synth bass a lot. thanks!

Thanks for the kind words about my voice, micayetoca. And peterkins, that's exactly what my bass player at the time said about the drums :) Unfortunately, we never got around to recording this song with the band. Wasn't really our style.
