You Got It (bluegrass cover)

Roy Orbison gets the lofi FourTrack treatment. This is pretty rough stuff, but has convinced me that with some care You Got It could be a fucking tremendous bluegrass number.

Banjo, acoustic guitar, mandolin, and upright bass. Little bits of distortion, but nothing like the exploding drums of some of the other stuff I've done lately. Getting a clean upright bass recording through an iphone remains a challenge.

Sweet. How many vocal tracks did you do? I know I heard at least a few harmonies there.

Three vocal tracks I think, married to the banjo, guitar, and mandolin tracks. Levels were tricky with the silly iphone set up, especially since the lead vocal is lower in my range where I have trouble projecting and so getting to to pop without some isolation/compression/EQ work of the sort that FourTrack doesn't make doable adds to the challenge.
