Meteor Shower

This came tugging on my pants leg this week, almost fully formed. Thanks, muse!
It's about, well, a meteor shower. Warning: non-zero James Taylor quotient.

Ha! That'll teach me not to set up expectations. The IVm->IM9 cadence reminded me of 70s soft pop, is all. If it helps any, my wife thought it sounded like Gillian Welch.

Ah, yes, James Taylor. Ok, about this song...I think the instrumentation and vocals are pretty damn brilliant. This is very enjoyable!

This often goes to chords I don't expect. Dulcimer, eh?
I'd like to see an animated video with nice squiggly lines and washed-out watercolors.

Yes, although it should be noted that it's a chromatic dulcimer. That said, there's only one note you couldn't play on a regular dulcimer. Most of the idiosyncrasies come from missing notes (for example, "CM9" is C, B, D, no E or G).
