Africa (Dark Continent Mix)

Well, it's different.

Basically I made a techno song using some of the melodic lines and chord progressions from the original by Toto. Repetitive and dissonant with lots of clipping, because I'm lazy.

Is this made up of only chunks of Toto? It's pretty cool -- I like it when I just can just about grasp the original -- like the part that starts around :50 -- and then it quickly slips away.

I didn't sample the song Bangarang-style, if that's what you mean. That would have been cool... The "chunks" of Africa in the song are new synths (in Buzz) playing notes from the original.

For any other late listeners wondering about ropeladder's comment: they're talking about Bangarang by the remix artist Pogo, not the Skrillex song.

I dropped in because I liked the song enough to include it in my Mefi Music podcast.
