Syscrusher - Collapse of the Stars

September 15, 2010 10:16 AM

Synth/Prog/Metal/Dance/videogamey song from a concept record about the end of everything.

I wrote the bassline to this song about 3 years before this band formed. For some reason we never let the chorus and my favorite part of the song repeat. Ian Graham from Cheap Girls plays bass on the track. If anyone wants the whole album it is available for download on bandcamp.

Awesome transition at about 1:18. I agree with you, though, the beginning could have repeated itself before the transition.

Loved the transition, too! I'm a sucker for a Moog, even when it's sampled!

Neato man. I like what you did with the tempos "Synth/Prog/Metal/Dance/videogamey song" to a T.

the primary synth in the song is a casio cz-1(my favorite digital synth) there are also a little yamaha dx-7 (classic digital synth) and noise bits from an akai ax-60. thanks again for the kind words.

This is analogue synthpop goodness. I like how you had the synth double your vocal line. Sounds great!
