C Major, 143 BPM, Huge Lollipop

November 22, 2010 1:45 PM

So you need to get up and get moving and be happy and stoked and cheerful and energetic right this instant? Hurry! Listen to this song! It's an instrumental, it's only 1' 24", and it might be the only chance you've got.

Original title: "In Which The Key Of C Major Is Bludgeoned To Death By A Huge Lollipop at 143 Beats Per Minute."

Composed on a Roland Fantom hooked up to GarageBand after listening to too much J-Pop caused any notion of restraint or decorum to evaporate entirely.

I'm... I'm sorry.

Don't be sorry. Every time I listened to this, I had visions of a platformer video game where you're using said lollipop to swing at puffy rainclouds. The clouds drop candy coins for energy, and antipsychotics that a calliope-playing monkey eats. If you stop swinging, the monkey starts playing sadder music, and will eventually eat you.

This is hilarious. I love it.

I like what hanoixan said about it. But what I heard reminded me more of say an early 90's "Dawn of the Multimedia Age" demo of a spanking new SoundBlaster sound card. "Now with onboard sample bank!!!"
