Get out!

So there was this awesome ask.MeFi post, "For Grigori I sold goat" -- A Christmas Mystery.
I figured we needed to hear what Arnaud was working on in his bedroom. Or rather, we needed to hear what Arnaud's mom heard. So it's kind of a literal interpretation of the description. And it's AWFUL! Enjoy!
If anyone else has any of their own versions of this, I'd love to hear them.

Well this is pretty awesome. Not too much for listen, but for saying this is song about poppa's spleen it is perfect.

Man, this totally brings the "Christmas Mystery" story to life, and wow, what awesome creativity! This is a blast, and like The Whelk mentions in the MeTa post, it's totally addictive.

This made my boyfriend laugh, and he doesn't even know the backstory.

Mrs. arctic seal is chuckling away to this after I read her the letter. Thanks MonsieurBon.

I'm not sure if this could be topped, but I'd love to see a proliferation of For Grigori songs this holiday season. In fact, For Grigori would like nice in calligraphy on the front of an album.

Woah. I am thrilled people are liking it!
Apart from the guitar and a little of the percussion, the other sounds are sampled from "vacuum cleaner and a train," and "traffic and crickets." Crickets sound pretty weird when you slow them down. Oh, and some Nancy Sinatra received on an imaginary shortwave radio broadcast from Amerikanja.

This isn't awful at all. not even a little. During the main vocals, this is something that could be built on to make something amazing. Everywhere else -- and I mean everywhere -- this is The Residents. Love it. I really want to play with this on loud speakers, and I'm sad that I cannot.
