Virgin Ears & Old Man Lies

This is my attempt at a GBV-style rocker. I put a guitar solo at the end as (kind of) a goof. I hope the musical irony gods will forgive me. Mixing this was a real bitch. I think I could go back and mix this 20 more times and still not be happy, but I gotta let it go. Any specific mixing/EQ advice on this is appreciated.
The wicked try to pull us down
into the mediocre sound
of laughing fools and virgin hounds
The tape is at an end
and I can see you on the telephone
and I can tell you just don't like my tone
As years go by you criticize
the meaty purple badgered thighs
of virgin ears and old man lies
a language that offends
I"ve wondered if you feel it too
The truer pale beyond the blue
The longest streak we ever knew
of saying nothing
and I can see you on the telephone
and I can tell you don't like my tone
Share My Love.

I like it a lot! As far as mix advice, I'd like to hear the bass and drums brought up, but it's not a big deal.
