Jordache Jeans
September 21, 2011 10:15 PM
Some hip hop about the ecstasies of vintage clothing and related minutiae. NSFW
Credit where credit is due:
The sample that says "I still wear Jordache jeans" is Kool G. Rap from Truly Yours. "It's now the time" and the call and response thing in the outro are from Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five It's Nasty. Yeah, and I took the crash cymbal from the beginning of Children's Story.
Thanks for listening. Let me know what you think about the song, or leave a comment about your favorite jeans.

Dang chrchr, it's cool to track your growth here on metafilter music. Thanks for sharing the tracks here.
I like the bass and the intro; the vocals sound good; nice use of samples (especially one that fits the theme so well).
Can't wait to hear the next one! Cascadia take notice!

Sick. Man you keep on impressing me. An absolute amazing beat with so much going on, and it all just fits. Your lyrics were sweet, I enjoyed your wordplay and you sampled beautifully lol. Good work!

Yoooo. You have that old-school vibe on LOCK. Anyone who samples G Rap gets props from me. The hook made me smile. PNW stand up! Are you working on an EP/LP?

I love this. It's got flow, creativity, originality, identity, clever rhymes, and would rock a party right. Kudos chrchr!
