MC Pizarro Explorer Rap
October 11, 2006 8:50 PM
A friend of mine decided to start a hip hop group made up of 15th and 16th century explorers who, according to the premise, actually did discover the Fountain of Youth, are thus immortal and are rapping about their exploits. This was my contribution. There's no chorus, but there are three verses. The second one's actually my favorite.

The concept alone is genius, and I definately like the lyrics. I'm also quite fond of the backing tracks.

I recognize that music from somewhere, but I can't quite place it. I think the vocals are too loud in the mix, it drowns out the music.

These are great lyrics ! I agree with IZ, I'd try to mix it again so the vocals are a little less over the top.

"Lose Yourself" by Eminem, from 8 Mile. Also repurposed for Weird Al's "Couch Potato."
This is a great concept and the lyrics are excellent. You just need better production and maybe not to use that backing track. From a copyright standpoint you're on kind of shaky ground with using the Eminem.

The lyrics are great but... now don't take this wrong, but, maybe get someone who can actually rap a little better? The rappers don't seem to quite have the knack for the rhythm.
