Hostage

Four bass tracks, recorded on 4-track cassette in the mid-80's. Made on a dark evening, home alone.

During the Lebanon hostage crisis, this was my attempt to musically get inside the mind of a kidnapping victim, especially the ones held for years, often blindfolded, and regularly beaten, like Terry Anderson and Terry Waite. Monotony upon stark raving terror.

The feedback is me turning my Mesa Boogie D-180 up real loud.

This is great. Gets pretty close to satisfying my fantasy of having a band where everyone plays bass and has a bass kick drum in front of them and harmonizes like an a capella group.
