Boots

A guitar, a buzzing tube amp, a me. Some clapping. From a new collection of songs called Cake Dome, written and recorded entirely in the 29 days of February, 2012. I made a video, which you can watch on Vimeo or YouTube.

nice work.

also, it's amazing how much a video can add to the feel of a song.

I love how the dynamics of the claps fit in with the decay of the delay on the guitar. Nice, nice rhythm.

You made it. I can't even begin to imagine how one manages to write, record and master an album in 30 days, apart from all the things one's supposed to do. Kudoz for that.

And I'm just realizing I didn't comment on the other RPM songs you posted. Elbow blew my mind. First the song and then the whole phenomenon.

And this one is very, very nice. I envy that knack of yours of putting three things into a recording and making it sound like a song. I'm off to listen to the rest of the album now. Congratulations on finishing before it finished you.

Guitar sounds terrific. And boy that sure is Toronto in the vid, isn't it?

Is that all you on the BVs or did you get some help?

Thanks guys.

It's all me on every song, just because I had no time or resources this round. I wish I could have had people helping out and collaborating but I didn't have my act together.
unSane, that Strymon El Capistan pedal I was telling you about in another thread is all over every song because I was just figuring out how to use it.

That trashed car in the video was there forever. Funnily enough they were towing it away today. They had to take a sledgehammer to the fender so the wheels had room to turn.

I like this one a lot. Those b-vox are super sweet.

I love how the dynamics of the claps fit in with the decay of the delay on the guitar.

Good call, it's really great.

Put on your favorite boots, it's getting bad/Here comes the saddest day you ever had.

That line encapsulates more days in my life than it should. Those days were so weirdly seductive that I feel strange saying that I hope I never have another.
