A plain-jane cover for The World Famous.
I had a couple of hours to kill yesterday morning, and I've been thinking about this album a lot lately, and I had seen TWF's comment ... so I knocked this together.
It's pretty straightforward, a quick mostly-faders-up mix, warts and all (although to call the vocal tuning "aggressive" would probably be an understatement).
As a bonus, I learned that my new-ish recording space is so dead that I can record shouty vocals from two feet away without any reflections.

Glad you guys dig it. There are so many good songs on this album, I just grabbed the first one that was a) mostly just a rock song; and b) in my vocal range. I really ought to have done "Shuck & Jive," but the vocal / sleighbell bridge would have been a little much.
(Although really I just wanted to do the instrumental section that comes before the last chorus of "Amphetamine" over and over again. Ba da da daa... ba da da daaaaaa.)

Rockin'. Guess I need to revisit these guys. Sometimes I forget how great power pop can be.

I especially like the quiet tremelo-y part coming out of the solo. And then the crunchy guitar comes back in all staccato! Yesss
