Not my favourite Radiohead tune, I'll tell you that much.
As the Good Saint Douglas reminded us, "I love deadlines. I like the wooshing sound they make as they fly by". This tune is perhaps a tenuously arguable candidate for the soundtrack to that - not in terms of how it sounds but very definitely in terms of how it was made. It might have come out better if I'd spent longer on it - I started on it around 9.30pm; it's now nearly 3.30am and very much time to draw a line and stop, warts and all. On the other hand, it might have got even worse. So I stopped here. Lots of warts.

Love that sort of Puttin' On The Ritzy restatement of the verse melody before the final chorus.

(I'm also just realizing that something about browser audio in my work PC really screws up the bottom end ... this terrible aliasing on the bass part. Don't know if it's Windows 7 or the PC or what, but it's awful and now I'll never be able to un-hear it.)
