The Best Place In Town Is Also The Darkest

Written for this thing a while ago in which I had a few days to make a song with this title as the prompt and "creative use of starts and stops" as the challenge.

I really liked this, reminded me of Eels or something. From your description I was expecting choppy metal guitars and such, so the accordion(?) was a surprise. I'm wondering if it would have worked better lyrically with something more original than a basement, but "garden shed" doesn't scan and I concede I might be slightly missing the point there. Good song!

This is not bad, as in I would happily pay money for this to treat my ears.

I remember some years ago you used to say you didn't quite like your own lyrics. Never understood why, I like a lot of them quite a lot, and the lyrics in this song are fantastic. I was gonna quote a phrase here, but I'd rather leave everyone who comes around to hear them as the song progresses, apart from being great lyrics they go very well with the music.

Too short! Too short! I really like it. I totally dig those extra sounds and bits, too.
