MeFiGigs?
December 23, 2012 3:17 PM
Would people be interested in organising meetup/gigs with line-ups of musicians who are MeFites?
(I'm in London, but it's also a general question, isn't it?)
The last few times I've had a gig I've put it in IRL, and I've felt a bit strange about it, as it's not a MeFi thing, really (and to be honest self-promotion makes me tense). Each time I've said that we really ought to have MeFiGigs - concerts and meetups in one - and thought it was time to broach the subject: is this the sort of thing people would be interested in?
Well, for a start, are there musicians in London who would be up for it?

Maybe we can pull Major Dundee in from the West Country.

I probably wouldn't play, but I'd do my best to show up for London shows.

Maybe a Toronto get together? Find a back room in a pub and play each other some songs?
