An interpretation of a song from a quite well-known album by a certain Mr. David Jones.
My (very late) entry to the Bowie thing.

Wonderful. I think these might be my favorite vocal tracks I've heard from you, they sound really great.

Yeah, the production sounds amazing, it has a lot of layers and there's a lot of great details that make it sound like something legitimately from the 70s. The voices stand out because you got a very different sound this time. I think if someone had played this for me without saying it was you, I wouldn't have recognized it.
Of course I'm not saying "it sounds great because it doesn't sound like you!". I'm a big fan and what I'm saying is "wow, you never cease to surprise."
Or put in a single sentence, this sounds really good, man. Congratulations.

Thanks, mica.
It's funny, it started out just being a straight piano/acoustic guitar thing but towards the end I added those little electric guitar stabs and all of the sudden it took on this sort of Stealers Wheel vibe ('70's!) which I thought was sort of amusing. Not where I thought it would end up when I started, but there you go. I was worried about my warbling falsetto a bit but ended up not deleting it for once. Also trying out a new mic preamp (birthday) so maybe vocals sound a bit different because of that as well.
Cheers dobie and umbú!

Yeah, there's some serious, beautiful grease that brings everything together. Awesome, awesome piece.
