The District Sleeps Alone Tonight

I love covers that genre shift. I'm also listening to the Postal Service's album 'Give Up' a lot recently. So, a genre shifted cover - the more unlikely the better - of 'The District Sleep Alone Tonight' would be pretty awesome. I am not sure what genre this was or now is, but something has shifted. Lyrics.

Nice. I like the loop. My dog didn't like the filter on your voice, but she's more of a hip hop head. Me, I'd consider moving it a bit more to the background, to achieve a bit of the mumbly conversation in the next room effect, but it depends on what you're going for.

Thanks -- the loop is me banging on an acoustic guitar, sped up and cut up a bit.

Moving the vocal to the background (and the beat to the foreground) is more pleasant (especially for dogs) but I decided against it for some reason. I wanted more of a loud cellphone kind of thing.

Sounds scruffy and strange, in a good way.
