auto rhodes; auto keys; auto kit

I have two comments on this: firstly, that the rhodes theme you hear first, if it's going to carry on throughout so much of the song, might be better sitting a little lower in the mix, as after a while I found it a bit dominating and wanted to let my attention move to the other parts of the song.

The other thing that I found distracting was the piano part at around 0:54. I think it's because all the other sounds are quite electronic, so they work for me sounding clearly programmed, but with a sound that's trying to be a real piano, my brain expects it to sound as if it's being really played as well, or alternatively more brazenly glitchy and programmed.

Anyway these are just my personal feelings on it, from a mixing/production POV. I like the track :)

devil's advocate: I really like the non-piano use of the auto piano. reminds me of working with sheet music programs. and you really take it to extremes, so it doesn't sound like you're going for natural. it sounds like those squidly robots from the matrix playing a keyboard.

This is really good. One of the best things I've heard here for a while.
