We'll Sweep Out the Ashes in the Morning

Who doesn't like a song about forbidden love? An acoustic cover for a Wednesday.

I’m trapped at my parents’ condo in the suburbs *shudder* while our house is being torn apart. I have limited resources. Yesterday was rainy and it was like I was in jail so I wanted to record something.
Guitar, bass and the big can of loose change which is the profit from our recent yard sale.

Fantastic! That can of loose change sounds really great. What kind of can is it? I would have expected it to sound clankier annd tinnier... it almost sounds like brushed drums, in a way. Are you shaking it in the air, or onto your thigh or something?

Uh, and yeah, the vocals are amazing.

Thanks guys!
Re: the can, it's actually more of tin I suppose. I just sort of gave it as precise a shake as I could, about 2' under the mic. Double-tracked for the chorus. EQ'd a bit.

Ah, cool! Thanks so much for the picture. I'll be trying to copy that trick at some point.
