Nature

Folk rock ode to Nature.

This song was originally written when I was about thirteen, sometime last century. I was digitizing old cassettes and had no recording of this one, which my brother was very fond of. He rearranged the tune, adding vocal harmony, extending the chorus, and playing all the parts/SFX you hear except piano (yours truly). He is using a Roland GR-55 guitar synth. When we first played this together, he would have been about ten or eleven. You may notice the chord progression is similar to the verse of Neil Young's "Heart Of Gold" - if I recall, those just happened to be the chords that fit this ditty.

What a lovely thing for your brother to do. I really like his vocal arrangements. The song is sweet, the chorus particularly - reminds me of something you might've heard Brian Wilson write around the time of the Smile Sessions.

Yes, he really put a lot of effort into it, and we're both happy with the outcome. I will pass along the [high!] compliment - it felt like a good song to post here.
