A cover of a sad-ish, holiday-ish song I've always loved.

my first post to Music! I'm covering a song by Dave Olson, a guy I used to be a sideman for. I've always loved this song, and even though Dave demoed it a bunch of times, it never made it onto his album. I've been trying to get some stuff recorded over these past few weeks and thought this would be a good place to start.

I was enjoying this as a pleasant kitchen table recording, then I heard the shaker. "Hmmm, I wonder how he's doing that," I thought. And then the soundfield opened up with the pedal steel/synth/whatever. Bravo! Good song, good track.
